Install in Claude.ai

Claude.ai can connect to Hoist Assets through a custom connector when the account and workspace expose remote MCP connectors.

Steps

1. Sign in at https://claude.ai.
2. Open Customize -> Connectors -> + -> Add custom connector.
3. Paste the Hoist Assets MCP URL.
4. Approve the OAuth scopes when Claude opens the approval flow.
5. Pin Hoist Assets in the tool picker for repeated use.

Smoke test

Prompt: “Hoist, look up ABN 11695718659.” The connector should execute abn_lookup.

Troubleshooting

• If the connector form is missing, check workspace plan and admin settings.
• If tools do not appear after install, refresh the browser and start a new conversation.
• If calls return 403, re-approve OAuth.
• Claude connects to remote MCP servers from Anthropic cloud infrastructure, not from your local browser. If authorization succeeds but tool calls fail, check that https://mcp.assets.hoistai.com/mcp is reachable from Anthropic-hosted clients and retry the connector sign-in.
